The Falcon Inn
The river Skirfare runs through Littondale in the North Yorkshire Dales, in the next valley to Kettlewell. Littondale has a flat vally bottom and rich green steep sides, with hanging woods. Limestone outcrops are exposed along the tops - some of the walks require a bit of rock climbing.
Arncliffe is a small farming community alongside the Skirfare and surrounding a broad village green, with the Falcon Inn in one corner. The Falcon has been run by the Miller family for four generations.

The Falcon offers superb Dales hospitality. Ale is still served from barrel to glass via a porcelain jug. The evening meal and breakfast are traditional home cooking and plenty of it! Vegetarians catered for by prior arrangement.

Accommodation is in single and double bedrooms, with the option of en-suite facilities. The dining room and sitting room both overlook the village green. The open fire in the sitting room provides a cosy atmosphere for after-dinner coffee and rest from a day's walking.
The Falcon at Arncliffe is an excellent base for exploring the North Yorkshire Dales natural attractions, such as Gordale Scar, Aysgarth Falls, Malham Cove, and, and... the list is endless.
Fishing is available from Monday to Saturday during the trout season, on the 4 miles of the Falcon's own private fly fishing on the river Skirfare. Day tickets are free to Falcon guests.
